SculptAR

During my senior year, I worked on a senior thesis pertaining to augmented reality and cultivating participatory visitor experiences within a museum context. Part of this project involved developing an application for the Nasher Museum of Art.

In September 2019, the Nasher Museum of Art unveiled its outdoor Sculpture Garden. As of the time of this project, there was only one sculpture in place. Before it is populated with physical sculptures, I saw potential in using this empty space in conjunction with virtually augmented objects to foster exploration of this garden during this unique transitional phase. For this reason, I developed a mobile-based augmented reality application that leverages this space and visitor participation for my senior thesis project.
